Up to 30 bands expected at Corbet Accordion Band parade

Corbet Accordion Band has announced it is to hold its annual band parade in Banbridge on Friday (May 23).

Some 25-30 bands are expected to take part in the parade.

The event is due to get underway at 7.30pm.

Spectators should note that the parade route will see bands set off from the Kenlis Street Car Park, marching to the Newry Road roundabout.

There they will turn into Newry Street and continue into Bridge Street.

The parade will turn at the Crozier monument in Church Square and make its way back up Bridge Street, and under Jingler’s Bridge en route to the War Memorial.

The route ends back at Kenlis Street.

Corbet Accordion Band organisers are advising members of the public to expect traffic delays during the parade.
