Style-seekers have only a few days left to wait before strutting their stuff at the hotly-anticipated Spring Made Stylish festival weekend.
Spring Made Stylish takes place in urban centres and cities across Armagh and Down from Friday 15 April.
It’s definitely the turn of Armagh City, Banbridge, Portadown and Lurgan to hog the fashion spotlight this year as they come together to make this year’s new season spring and summer style the most memorable ever.
With pop-up shows fashion tours hosted by top TV and radio personality, Tara Mills, and Northern Ireland style icon Pamela Ballantine, a fleet of glamourous, professional models and live beats from the Cool FM radio roadshow team, chic boutiques and High Street heroes from across the region are already gearing up for a buzzy weekend filled with fun and frolics in Lurgan and Portadown.
Lord Mayor of Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon, Darryn Causby, said: “With an unrivalled mix of fashion retailers and classy venues in towns and cities famous for strong independent style and design, the Spring Made Stylish full weekend event is a wonderful opportunity to get everyone involved to enjoy, celebrate and promote what we have to offer.”
At 7.30pm on Friday 15 April fashionistas in Banbridge get to join in the fun as the Old Town Hall on Scarva Street is transformed to host the Banbridge Made Stylish Fashion Showcase, promising the hottest new looks for Spring/Summer to suit every occasion – from a formal wedding to a casual lunch with the girls, it’s a night made in heaven.
The Creative Hat Couture workshop from 9.30am on Saturday 16 April in the Old Town Hall, Banbridge will have you working with an array of millinery materials to create a headpiece to suit that special occasion.
The class is suitable for all levels and all students are guaranteed to leave with a glamorous and bespoke headpiece.
Also at 2.30pm on the same day and venue, award-winning makeup artist Stacey Kilpatrick will be teaching the principles of natural flawless looking makeup during a special Understanding Your Makeup session, taking in a deeper look at the latest products, techniques, skin concerns and value-for-money trends.
A variety of exclusive special offers will be available for many of the town centre’s independent boutiques, beauty and hair salons and restaurants which go live for the duration of the festival and there are also a bank of special prizes up for grabs.
