As Director of Music at Armagh Cathedral, Stephen has been instrumental in inviting organists to take part in the recital series.

It will be his turn next month when his choice of programme will include J S Bach’s ‘Fantasia Komm Heiliger Geist,’ and Stanley’s ‘Suite for Organ’.

He will also play Walton’s ‘Crown Imperial’ and Elgar’s ‘Imperial March’, in addition to a number of shorter pieces.

The Dean of Armagh, the Very Revd Gregory Dunstan, said: “We have already enjoyed hearing some of the music for Stephen’s recital as voluntaries after Cathedral services.

“Since his appointment in September, Stephen has brought many gifts both to the organ and to the recruitment and training of the choir.

“We look forward to his own recital, which includes music specifically chosen for the afternoon of the Feast of Pentecost or Whitsunday.”
