RANGERS HOPE TO BLOOM IN IRISH CUP. - Rathfriland Rangers this Saturday travel to Bloomfield in the JJB Irish Cup second round, Bloomfield actually play in the same league as Rathfriland but are in the lower half of the table. This is yet another away cup fixture but after defeating Desertmartin 3 – 0 in the previous round, “The Whites” should be confident of securing their passage to the next round of the competition. Kick off 1.30pm.

SWIFTS AWAY TO ANNAGH - Rathfriland Swifts this Saturday travel to Annagh Utd Reserves for a league fixture at the Tandragee Road venue. The teams shared a win each last season but this one might be harder to call with both teams doing well in the top half of the table this term. Kick off 2.15pm.

SWIFTS RESERVES HOME TO TULLYVALLEN RESERVES - Rathfriland Swifts Reserves this Saturday will host Tullyvallen Reserves in a league fixture at Iveagh Park. The Swifts Reserves have been going really well this campaign and will be hoping to continue their form against the `Vallen who are always a tough nut to crack. Kick off 2.15pm.

COLTS AWAY IN DERBY - Rathfriland Colts will this Saturday will travel to Moneyslane for their second derby encounter of the season. In the last fixture Moneyslane edged it by a goal so Rathfriland will be hoping for the opposite this coming weekend. Kick off 2pm.

COMMITTEE MEETING - The October committee meeting will take place at the clubrooms tonight Tuesday 16th October at 7pm. Please note the new earlier start time.

RATHFRILAND FC YOUTH WINTER TRAINING - The youth team’s training will move to Rathfriland Leisure Center from this week as follows: U8, Tuesday 6-7pm; U9, Monday 7-8pm; U10, Tuedsay 7-8pm; U11, Monday 7-8pm; U12, Wednesday 7-8pm; U13, Wednesday 7-8pm; U15 Tuesday 8-9pm

All new players will be welcome.

Ton Up - Well done to Rathfriland Rangers striker Ally Wilson who scored his 100th goal for Rathfriland on Saturday past against Valley Rangers. Considering he is not even half way through his third season this is a fabulous record which will be hard to break.

Did You Know… - Saturday was Rathfriland first team`s return to play in the Mournes for the first time in 26 years? They continued with a winning performance as they did all those 26 years ago.
