WELL DONE LEE Well done to young Lee Patterson who was selected to play for Glenavon U – 15`s against a Republic of Ireland Select side at Mourneview Park this week. Great achievement for the young lad who has developed through the Rathfriland FC Youth system.

NORTHERN IRELAND AMATEUR LEAGUE SELECT TEAM TO PLAY IN ROSEBOWL Well done to Rathfriland Rangers players Ally Wilson and Ryan Evans who have both made it into the panel for the Northern Ireland Amateur League team against their Scottish counterparts this weekend in the Amateur League Rosebowl competition. For any club to have one player in the panel is a great achievement but for Rathfriland to have two in it is very rosy!!

QUOTE OF THE WEEK This week`s quote of the week has to go to Mark Bickerstaff. When Ally Wilson and Ryan Evans were being photographed for their picture both were keen that their hair was right for the big snap – it was at this point where Mark claimed, “It`s the Amateur League Rosebowl you are being photographed for not the Rose of Tralee!”

RATHFRILAND FC GOLF CLASSIC THIS FRIDAY A reminder to everyone that the annual Rathfriland FC Golf Classic takes place this Friday afternoon at Banbridge Golf Club. Anyone interested in entering a fourball (£30 per head) please see any member of the committee. Even if you are not a golfer don`t be afraid to enter – you will be in good company!!

COSTELLO PLAYER OF THE MONTH Well done to former Rathfriland FC player James Costello who won the Carling Irish Premier League “Player of the Month” Award for April. James, who seems to be revitalised under new Ballymena Utd manager Glenn Ferguson, scored seven goals in April – Well done Jamesy!

CONGRATULATIONS! Congratulations to Rathfriland FC player Simon Groves and his wife Elaine on the birth of their baby son Sebastian last week.

UNDER 8`s, 9`s, 10`s IN LOUGHGALL TOURNAMENT Three of Rathfriland FC Youth teams took part in the George Willis Memorial Tournament run by Loughgall Youth at Richhill Recreation Centre on Saturday past. Whilst the teams did not progress further than the group stages this was a great day out for all the young lads who done themselves, their parents and Rathfriland FC Youth proud. Well done boys!

WILSON FINISHES ON 51 Well done to Rathfriland Rangers striker Ally Wilson who smashed the all time Rathfriland FC goals tally finishing the season on a magnificent tally of 51 goals.
