SUNDAY JANUARY 27 - Brian Knox may have taken first place in this nine holes sweep but he wasn’t the one doing the most celebrating.

That honour fell to Robert Clydesdale who lifted a three-week rollover pot in the 2’s.

1st, Brian Knox (20) Nett 29; 2nd, Brendan Magee (28) Nett 31.

SATURDAY FEBRUARY 2 - The course was a little drier and the weather was fine. That attracted a significant number of players, all keen to win this 12 holes sweep.

But all the talk was about the amazing finish to their rounds that Paul McAleavey and Gary McCartney conjured up. Both Paul and Gary had birdie 2’s at the 15th hole (their 12th). And then, the two men repeated the performance with birdie twos at the 18th holes (their 13th) Can you believe it!
