The future’s bright for Dromore

DROMORE Ladies Hockey Club has a strong and growing Junior section.

The youngest players are only 6-7 years old and meet every Saturday morning at Ferris Park to work on their skills, enjoy their hockey and get together with their hockey friends.

At this level a strong emphasis is on the fun and enjoying their hockey whilst developing the kids co-ordination and spatial awareness and an awareness of the game always with the emphasis on fun.

The young players have Laura Mackin and her team of enthusiastic coaches to thank for making their hockey fun. They may only be six but these girls are the club’s future and it all starts here. It is never to early to start hockey as each age group has activities specific to their age group and their development so all those Primary 2 girls out there keen to have fun and enjoy a great activity, be ready to join the club in September!

Thanks to Laura and her team of coaches.
