Do you know someone aged 17 and under who deserves to be recognised for their sporting achievements undertaken between July 2012 and June 2013?
Well now is the time to let them shine as nominations are now being accepted for the Banbridge District Junior Sports Awards.
Organised by Banbridge District Sports Association in association with Banbridge District Council, these awards recognise the wealth of young sporting talent in the district and celebrate the achievements of young people who excel in their chosen sport.
The awards were recently launched at Donaghy’s Shoefair Sports in Banbridge. The well known local stockist of top branded sportswear is sponsoring the awards in partnership with Intersport.
Nominations are sought in the five categories of Female Youth, Male Youth, Junior Team (under 12), Youth Team (12 and over) and Special Olympic Athletes.
Nomination forms are available from a number of locations, including the Civic Building, Banbridge Leisure Centre, Dromore Community Centre, Gilford Community Centre, Rathfriland Community Centre, and Donaghy’s Shoefair Sports.
The nomination form can also be downloaded from the council website at www.banbridge.gov.uk
All completed forms must be returned to the Leisure & Development Department at the Banbridge District Council Civic Building before 5pm on Friday 21 June 2013.
