Top class performance

THE Banbridge Ronan Rafferty team are safely into round two after a decisive victory over Mourne.

The young guns won 12-8 round the Annesley course in Newcastle and finished the job off in style over their home course.

All five players scored points, which was encouraging for the selectors.

Jonathan Brush got the maximum four points. Patrick Magennis got three and a half.

Callam Barnes got three and both Josh Crory and Michael Young got two points.

Their opponents in round two will be Rockmount and the both legs will be played this week.

This is a strong looking team and we wish them well.
