Busy week for Banbridge Ladies as Captain’s Week takes place

LAST week was a very busy week in Banbridge Golf Club with Captain’s week.

On Tuesday 66 ladies took to the course all trying their best to be one of the lucky winners to pick up the Captain’s ladies prizes which were presented at Captain’s Day on Saturday.

The winner was Helen Rankin with a fabulous 39 points

Runner up was Una McSherry with 37 points and Gross was won by Alana Gartland with 27 gross points.

Novice winner was Mary Jo Thompson and Pink Ladies prize was won by Pat McCartan

Five ladies had a two and share the spoils between them ie Mildred Hodgett, Lynn Malcolmson, Mary Dooher and Helen Cocks (12th) and Helen Smyth (8th)

Golfer of the Year Points were awarded as follows: 6, Helen Rankin; 5, Alana Gartland; 4, Una McSherry; 3, Karen Curran; 2, Mildred Hodgett; 1, Sally O’Hare.

Next week’s competition (26th June) is the Rosemary Cocks Rosebowl

Team News: Cowdy Team have played the home leg of their match v Killymoon and whilst coming out on top of the day have a lot to do in Killymoon next week.

On Sunday the Junior Cup team travelled to Portstewart for their second round match and on Thursday June 21 the Miele team are in action against Edenmore. Good luck to all the teams.
