Banbridge qualify for the Senior Cup in Tandragee

THE qualifying rounds of the Senior Cup were played last Sunday. The Banbridge team went to Tandragee.

Connor Doran is the captain and he has high expectations for his team this season. This is one trophy that the Banbridge category one players would dearly love to win.

They have cleared the first hurdle by successfully qualifying.

The four counting scores came from Jim Carvill 73, Connor Doran 73, Rory Leonard 74 and Colin Wilton 75. Jonathan Ward’s score wasn’t needed. Their team total was 295.

The four teams to qualify at Tandragee were Tandragee themselves 292, Lurgan 294, Banbridge 295 and Warrenpoint 299.

Banbridge will play Lurgan in the first round of matchplay at Tandragee on Sunday 24th June. Let the battle commence!
