The latest news from the ladies section at the club

As the nights start to draw in, so too does the golfing season for Banbridge Golf with the ladies played their last competition of the season on Tuesday past.

This was a nine hole eclectic competition giving the ladies the chance to play nine holes to set their score and then another nine to improve upon it. The winner with a tremendous net 29 for 9 holes was Ann Blevins, closely followed by Anne Connolly with a new 30. The Pink ladies was won by Rosemary Cocks with Pat McCartan being the winner for the month of September. The Autumn League starts on today and will run for seven weeks. This year the teams have been named after Moons. Teams are listed in the clubhouse. Good luck to everyone.

Some months ago the friends and family of the late Maire McCambridge commissioned a painting by local artist and golf club member Mrs Liz Ramsey, this beautiful painting was presented by Liz on Tuesday past. The painting was resented to the Club at a ‘Gathering’ on Saturday September 28 and was attended by Maire’s family.
