The Dundalk Juveniles held their annual bait fishing competition at Islandderry Fishery, Dromore on Saturday.
They all had a good day with all of them getting their two fish each. Ten-year-old Leon Mulholland, Dundalk took home the first place prize with his two fish bag of 2lb11.
Second went to 12-year-old Oisin Morrow, Dundalk with two fish for 2lb7. The youngest of the group was seven-year-old Jack Berry, Belfast who took joint third place with 10-year-old Nathen Berry, Belfast with two fish for 2lb6.
Fifth went to eight-year-old Kaylem Berry, Dundalk with two fish for 2lb5 and sixth place with a weight of 1lb15 went to 11 year old Sean Paul McClan from Belfast.
The next competition is the Clements Fly Fishing competition to raise money for MS which will take place this Saturday from 10am-4pm. The entry fee is £25 and there will be prizes for the heaviest bag of two trout, ballot and hot food.
This is to raise money for a good cause so please come along and support it and have a great days crac! There is also still places left for the evening competition on Saturday August 17 fishing from 7pm to midnight at a cost of £25 entry.
