The recent resurgence seen at Rathfriland continued with the latest 20-bird DTL event held last Thursday. The night made for the busiest Thursday of the summer so far, with a fantastic total of 16 lines shot over two layouts.
Noel Lindsay led the way, and was soon joined by the ever-present Geoff Dale. Rathfriland’s George Gracey also hit the 20/60, while John Montgomery and Ballyvea shooter David McBride completed the line-up.
The final was a tense affair. In the end it was McBride who took the spoils after managing a shoot-off score of 20/59 which was the best on the night.
1st, David McBride; 2nd, George Gracey; 3rd, Geoff Dale. With only four Thursday nights remaining in the summer season shooters are encouraged to make the most of the good light and to make an appearance at the club. Shooting continues Thursday, 8 August.
