Ladies pick up six points at home

Banbridge played hosts to Newcastle on July 25.

The match was interrupted by a thunderstorm which flooded the green, but after tea play continued with Banbridge finishing with six league points.

There is no league match on August 1 and the final two matches of the season are on the August 8 when Portadown come to Banbridge, and August 15 when the locals travel to Ward Park, Bangor.

The inter-association matches will be played on August 2-3 at Ballymena. Valerie Newell has been selected to play, while Cassie McDermott is reserve. Well done ladies!

Presidents Day will be held at the club on August 20. Members should attend at 2pm for 2.30pm start.

Meanwhile in Division One of the NIBA Banbridge outscored Dundonald by 84 points to 71 in their league game at the weekend with both sides getting two points each.
