Albert Morrison’s win in the Lions Cup last Saturday was an amazing story.
But all the talk was not about Albert but about two outstanding shots, which were hit during the competition.
Kenny Stevenson and Andrew Quinn were playing in the same fourball and what they did is unique in the history of the club.
Kenny had a hole-in-one at the eighth hole and Andrew followed suit with a hole-in-one at the 15th hole.
Can you believe it? Two holes-in-one on the same day from two players in the same fourball. How many times has that happened in the world of golf, never mind Banbridge?
It’s a little bit of history and a feel-good moment in this Centenary Year.
