It’s going to be Rory v Kieran and Luke v Adam in the semi-finals

The quarterfinals of the Haughton Smyth Cup have been completed.

Rory Madeley beat Bill McCandless.

Kieran Magennis beat Conor Mulholland.

Luke Woods beat Paul McAleavey.

Adam McGregor beat Callum McCandless.

So there are two attractive semi-finals to look forward to.

The match between Rory Madeley and Kieran Magennis will be a cracker. Here we have two of the finest match players in the club going head to head. It should be worth watching.

The other semi-final has Luke Woods taking on Adam McGregor. Adam is into the last eight of the Matchplay Championship so he obviously likes the head-to-head encounters. Luke is vastly experienced and he will start as favourite. It will be close, that’s for sure.
