THE penultimate round of the Mid-Ulster Senior Alliance was played at Tandragee last Wednesday.
Banbridge have not had a good campaign but they are still competing bravely up to the bitter end.
Ian Boyce was their top scorer with 36 points. Dennis Lockhart and Morris Phillips both had 32 points. Jack Bickerstaff was the fourth counting player with 31 points.
Once again you could say that Banbridge had a respectable team score but not good enough to move them up the league table.
The four other Banbridge players were Tony Ewbanks, Bert Wilson, Dougie Stevenson and John Redpath.
The grand finale of the M.U.S.A. will be staged this week at Ardglass. It’s a shotgun start at 11.30 am followed by a presentation dinner. And that’s it for another year.
