Three Dunbarton bowlers tasted success last weekend when Jack Moffett, Andy Hughes and DJ Wilson teamed up with Cookstown’s Mark Wilson to win the Belmont Sunday Fours Tournament.

In an epic semi-final against Barry Browne’s very strong rink, the locals fought back from three down with two to play to score a double, single and then win the tie end to set up a final against Simon Cavan’s Belmont foursome.

Again the final was a very close affair, but the locals held a two shot advantage going into the last end and successfully held on to their lead resulting in skip DJ not having to play his last bowl. Jack and Andy won the City of Belfast Pairs in Belmont a few months ago so this has been a happy hunting ground.
