The May Bank Holiday Medal was played last Monday.

David Mawhinney (18) had probably the best round of his golfing career so far.

He shot an 80 gross, nett 62 and that gave him a marvellous total of 43 stableford points.

David won the competition by 8 points.

Kenny Arlow (13) was second with 35 points.

Robin Bond (13) was third, also with 35 points.

The fourth and final prize went to B.J. McAnarney (23) with 34 points.

I think we will hear a lot more about David Mawhinney before this season is over.
