Banbridge's Jimmy Sterling, Chris Radcliffe and Arnie Morgan are hoping to overhaul Civil Service in the Division Three title race.

A resounding 10-0 win for Banbridge A against Civil Service B keeps the local team’s hopes of league glory alive in the Belfast and District League.

Jimmy Sterling, Chris Radcliffe and Arnie Morgan knew that valuable bonus points were available for just such a 10-0 score line and rose to the occasion.

Banbridge are currently lying in second position behind Division Three league leaders Civil Service A. Twenty points separates the two teams at 141 to 121 and with two matches in hand and a potential 28 points available, the local team need to win both if they are to have a chance at snatching the title from the grasp of their rivals.

The league leaders have played 13, won 10, drawn one and lost two while Banbridge have played 11, won 9, drawn one and lost only once.

Banbridge are in a strong second place and are unlikely to be overtaken, but can they keep up the momentum to overhaul Civil Service in top spot?

Time will tell - no pressure lads!
