Another win for Banbridge Seconds in league

BANBRIDGE Seconds secured another victory in their Netball Northern Ireland A2 League against Phoenix Ladies in Ards Leisure Centre on Saturday October 6.

Banbridge had a strong start and settled into the game quickly taking the lead from the start. Skills developed in training were dominant throughout the game with the team attacking and defending well.

Phoenix unable to score any goals in the second quarter allowed Banbridge to make changes at half time. Banbridge confidence grew resulting in a very fast game with outstanding shooting from both shooters. Final score: Banbridge 33–10 Phoenix

The second match of the week for Banbridge Seconds was against Antrim Ladies in Gilford Leisure Centre on Thursday October 11.

This game started at a very fast speed with both teams taking a while to settle into the match. Banbridge defence and centre court played very well stealing quite a few great interceptions.

After a nervous start from the shooters Banbridge led the first half by 16 goals. At half time Banbridge made a few changes allowing some of the younger players to take the court. After a slow start Banbridge continued to stretch their lead and final whistle saw Banbridge win by 23 goals. Banbridge 38–15 Antrim

Netball Halloween Camp: The club is also having their first ever three day netball Halloween Camp in Banbridge Leisure Centre.

It will run on Wednesday October 31, Thursday November 1 and Friday November 2 from 9.30–11.00am for P5 -Year 8 and 11.00am – 1.00pm for Year 9 - 12 .

Camp fee for P5 – Year 8 is £12 and £15 for year 9 – 12.

This camp is open to all those that enjoy netball or want to learn new skills and make new friends.

They would also like to encourage any girls from Primary 5 & 6 to come along and join our training sessions on Tuesday Evenings in Banbridge Leisure Centre from 5.30pm - 6.30pm.
