Andrew Rowan and Benjamin Quigley were the big winners as Banbridge Angling Club held its annual juvenile / junior prize giving evening last Thursday (26th May).

There was a fantastic turn out of children, parents and other family members to congratulate Andrew Rowan and Benjamin Quigley - the Juvenile and Junior Anglers of the Year 2015 respectively.

Other prize winners on the night were Joshua Quigley, Daniel Moore, Imogen Johnson and Angelina Parks in the junior section with Ellie Carson, Ethan Halliday, Aaron Stewart, Patrick Curran and Andrew Rea picking up the awards in juvenile section.

The club send a huge well done to everyone who won prizes on the night. They also wish to extend special thank-yous to William Cochrane, Geoff Hylands, Damien Murtagh, Henry McKnight, Jimmy Thornton, Sam Watt, Adrian McAnarney, David and James McCreedy, Brendan Downey, Joe Curran, Jim Warren and all of the Banbridge Angling Club Committee who worked so hard to make the night so special.

The club are very much looking forward to seeing all the kids again throughout the rest of the fishing season.

The Club made a donation, primarily on behalf of all the competition anglers, to this year’s chosen charity, Cancer Fund for Children, towards its Daisy Lodge centre at Tullymore, Newcastle, Co Down. The Daisy Lodge centre, which celebrated its second anniversary on 14 April 2016, is a purpose build therapeutic short break centre for children and families affected by cancer.
