Again the weather was perfect for hockey and parents were out in full support .

Dromore C settled into a good team performance and had their hardest matches against Dromore’s other teams and they played strongly to keep a lower scoreline against the Dromore B side.

They played very well against Grosvenor C and Harlequins B to allow them only one goal each.

Their runs at goal couldn’t be converted but the defence played well and Chloe was noteable in her strong defence at the back.

Dromore B had their tough matches against Harlequins A who kept up a determined push for goals to go 2-0 ahead.

The match against Grosvenor C was more unsettled and our strong defence were under more pressure. Katie McDonald, the team’s strong goalscorer took a knock to the knee and was temporarily off but recovered quickly with her usual fighting spirit and positive attitude.

Despite a good performance the team were tiring and Grosvenor managed to get three goals past.

They started out against NICS and had a strong upbeat performance to win 1-0 with a goal by Katie McDonald.

The match against Grosvenor was very exciting and although we won 1-0 the pressure was continually on Grosvenor. Zara Greenfield had numerous close encounters, one of which was saved by their goalie but she was determined and eventually found the mark.

The match against Dromore C was hard fought with Dromore B winning 2-0 however Zara had a near miss and Katie another off the post. Great team play.

Dromore A were on a winning streak and secured wins in all their matches. They won 3-0 against Harlequins A with Megan scoring two goals and Amy one goal, 2-1 against Grosvenor C with Megan scoring one and Kellie one, 4-0 against Dromore C with Rachel gaining two, Megan one and Sophie one, 6-0 against Grosvenor A with five goals from Megan and one from Molly and 6-0 against Harlequins B with numerous scorers- Kellie,Olivia, Megan and Rachel. A strong team with great scoring potential, what a scoreline.

The U13 then arrived down to Harlequins to prepare for their matches hoping to follow the enthusiasm and teamwork of the U11.

Thanks to all coaches, parents and umpires.
