The U13s kitted out at Belfast Harlequins' tournament.

ON Sunday 24 February Dromore Juniors headed to Belfast to Belfast Harlequins ground for the last of the U11 and U13 tournaments of this season.

The sun shone and Spring was in the air as Dromore were out in force, fielding a large squad.

The U11 squad had two P7 teams and two P6 teams fielding a mix of experienced and new season players to gain match experience. The pitches were awash with Dromore blue as the club had the largest squad of players by far as they faced Ards, Belfast Harlequins, Pegasus and NI Civil Service.

The girls played well and their game intensified as they settled into the matches and newer players found their form as their team supported them and their peers led them into the match. The U11 hockey was summed up by new player Kaitlyn, who said, “That was great, I loved it!”

After the pitch cleared from the U11 games the U13 who fielded three teams strolled in to show their form.

As always a big thank-you to all those parents who took the trip to Belfast and showed their fine support and to the coaches and umpires who got in some last minute coaching before the club tournaments start after Easter.
