Banbridge begin their IHL campaign on Saturday as they host Cork Church of Ireland at Havelock Park (pass-back 3pm).

Bann boss Mark Tumilty knows it won’t be a stroll in the park.

“We played Cork CoI last year and beat them 4-1 but I thought it was difficult,” he said. “They’re a good young side, coached by David Hobbs. They’ll be a challenge for us and they’ll be difficult to beat.”

Tumilty is hoping his squad will be boosted going into Saturday’s game as his injured players approach their return.

He said: “We’ll have Jonny McKee back. He missed out on Saturday due to sickness but he’ll come back in. Eugene and Owen Magee are both getting closer as well. Owen back be back the Saturday after next and Eugene is maybe a little bit longer.
