White City make it a dark day for the village as Cloney lose out to early goal

Donacloney Firsts pushed fourth placed White City all the way in Division Three on Saturday but succumbed to a 1-0 defeat.

City took an early lead with their forward getting free of the Cloney defence to strike past Derek Curran in goal. The visitors were on top throughout the first half but Donacloney managed to keep them at bay until half time.

And the Cloney started the second half well and looked like they were going to threaten but lacked the cutting edge required to level the scores.
