Under-9s draw twice

BANBRIDGE Town U9s continued their development games on Saturday and came away with two well-earned draws.

In the first game Banbridge started well and played some excellant football, Ryan Meara linking up with the skillful Josh Kerr who scored to give Town an early lead.

It didnt last long as Banbridge conceded two quick goals. With ten minutes left in the game Brogan McComiskey passed to Patrick McGrath who hit a great shot past the keeper to level the scores.

Banbridge pushed for the winner with Josh Kerr and defender Lee Whitten going close as the game ended 2 each.

In their second match Town took a while to get going and again found themselves two down in the early stages. They pulled one back when a nice build-up with Josh Kerr and a Ryan Meara pass found Patrick McGrath who scored from close range.

Town soon equalised, Patrick McGrath’s pass finding Jack Murray who hit an unstoppable effort high into the net.

Town saw out the match in a draw but could have fallen behind but for brilliant defending by Alex Innocenzi and man of the match Calum Kermath and a couple of superb saves by keeper Kyle Bradford.
