Banbridge Rangers had several teams travelling the length and breadth of the country on Saturday as pre season preparation stepped up a gear.
The Under 9s blew Glentoran apart in East Belfast and the Under 14s had a good win at Lurgan but it was the Under 12s who returned with a trophy after winning the Valley Rangers tournament.
Mark Wilson’s side progressed to the Final against hosts Valley Rangers after winning all off their matches in the group stages. The first two matches saw Josh Bell score the only goal in each game and, in the third group match, the Gers ran out 4-0 winners with Eddie Tucker, Matthew Gilchrist, Adam Wilson and Lee Chapman on the scoresheet.
In the final, the young Rangers team beat Valley 3-0 with a brace from striker Lee Chapman and a free-kick from Adam Wilson.
Banbridge Rangers thanked Valley Rangers for the invite and wished their club all the best for the season.
Junior training takes place at Cheney Park on Monday and Thursday evenings from 6pm and caters for children born from 2008 upwards with the oldest age group being the Under 16s. All new players will be made very welcome.
