U9s get two wins at Brownstown

BANBRIDGE Town U9s continued their development games at Brownstown on Saturday morning with two difficult games against Oxford Sunnyside and Lurgan Town.

In the first game in a very even affair the town found themselves one down early on but a neat passing move and a sidefoot finish by Ryan Meara made the scoreline 1-1.

With the Town pushing foward Oxford got a second on the counter attack when the Oxford forward gave Town keeper Kyle Bradford no chance with a great effort.

After this Banbridge went foward for the equaliser with Lee Whitten striking a post but Oxford held on for the 2-1 win.

In the second game against Lurgan Town Banbridge continued their attacking football from their first game with the young town lads recording an emphatic 13-0 win with Adam Hamilton scoring four while Alex Innocenzi and Patrick McGrath grabbed a hat trick each with Josh Kerr adding another two and Jack Murray scoring his first of the season.

This was a great team performance from the goalkeeper out with Lee Whitten and Calum Kermath in defence then Alex Innocenzi, Jack Murray and Ryan Meara putting in a great shift in midfield with Josh Kerr and Patrick McGrath adding some wonderful passing and up top Adam Hamilton always providing the goal threat.
