Two wins for U9s

BANBRIDGE Town U9s again travelled to Brownstown Park to play Oxford Sunnyside and Lurgan Town on Saturday in their development games.

Against Sunnyside in their first game banbridge started quickly and found themselves 3-0 up with a hat trick from Adam Hamilton, the pick of them a long mazy run and a great finish.

After this Sunnyside came back with two goals of their own and only the rock solid defending of Lee Whitten and Callum Kermath and one great save in particular fron Kyle Bradford kept the Town in front.

With a few minutes remaining Hamilton added another one to win the game 4-2.

In the second game against a strong Lurgan team the young Town continued where they left off withe the midfield of Ryan Meara, Patrick McGrath, Jack Murray and Brogan McComiskey starting to dominate proceedings with fine tackling and some nice passing.

The Town quickly got into their stride with the prolific Adam Hamilton helping himself to another fine hat trick with some superb finishing to put the Town 3-0 up.

After this, though, Lurgan scored two to set up a tense finish but the town held on for the 3-2 win.

The Town lads are playing some attractive football at the minute and hopefully can bring this next into next week’s fixtures.
