Troubled Town welcome basement side Wakehurst to Crystal Park on Saturday (kick-off 2pm) and then host Dundela a fortnight later.

Watson knows that his team must take advantage of these two home fixtures and lift themselves out of the Championship Two danger zone.

“We want to get six points,” he said plainly.

“We’re well capable of getting them. We need to keep the momentum going and get up the table as soon as possible. Matches like this against the teams around us are huge. We need to get out of the relegation places and start to open up a bit of a gap.”

Town will be boosted by the return of Kevin Anderson and Chris McGrath, who sat out last weekend’s 3-3 draw at PSNI.

“There is good competition for places now so the players need to deliver to keep their jerseys,” said Watson, who saw his side surrender a 3-1 lead at Newgforge.

“Before that game, a point there would have been seen as a good one but we were disappointed not to win. That shows the strides we’ve made.”
