THE thoughts of everyone associated with Scarva Rangers FC are with talented young player Dean Thompson, who sustained a horrific injury at the weekend.
The promising teenager was playing for Scarva Rangers Reserves against Markethill Swifts Reserves when he suffered a broken leg as a result of a challenge in the closing stages of the game.
The Mid Ulster Cup tie, which was 3-3 at the time, was abandoned as a result of Dean’s injury.
Club chairman Sam Grattan said: “This was extremely upsetting for everyone at Scarva Rangers and our thoughts are very much with Dean.
“We wish him a full and speedy recovery and look forward to the day when he is back playing for us again.”
