Rangers U13s hit double figures

Banbridge Rangers Under 13 side kept up their 100% win record on Saturday and for the third time this season they won by a double figure margin.

Matthew Gilchrist opened the scoring after eight minutes to make it a clean sweep for the Gilchrist’s, after youngest brother Billy scored for the Under 8’s whilst Dylan scored a hat-trick for the Under 11’s.

Joshua Bell made it 2-0 soon after before Neil Hawthorne grabbed a hat-trick in less than eight minutes with a fine strike from Jamie Redpath seeing the ‘Gers wrap the game up midway through the first half.

The relentless goalscoring didn’t stop there as Josh McKay and Lee Chapman made it on to the scoresheet whilst Matthew Gilchrist scored his second to make it 9-0 before the half time break.

Gilchrist added two more after the break and when Neil Hawthorne added a 12th goal it meant both players had returned four goals in the game.

Moira came back into the game temporarily with two goals, but Rangers finished strongly with two goals of their own through Joshua Bell and Joshua McKay.
