Pedlow out for season as boss seeks signings

Town’s injury woes have taken another turn for the worse as midfielder Adam Pedlow is to receive knee surgery and is unlikely to play again this season.

The new comes as a blow to the Donaghcloney man, who had hoped to return in the coming weeks.

Add to that Damian McParland’s injury picked up against Portstewart and boss Ryan Watson needs new recruits.

“Damian damaged ankle ligaments and left the ground on crutches. He’ll be out for at least three to four weeks,” said Watson.

“We could do without that with our small squad so we’re trying to bring in a few others before the window shuts. It’s tough but we’ve done it before and we’ll do it again.”

“Ryan Evans had a knee problem over pre-season. He was back training away then had a twinge in his calf to set him back a few weeks. He’ll be a while yet but we’ll not rush him. He’ll be a boost when he’s back as we’re working with a small squad.”
