Fixtures for the week ahead

There’s a big week ahead for Rathfriland Rangers, who begin a crucial double-header with Downpatrick tonight (Tuesday).

Just four points separate the sides, Rangers ahead in fourth spot having played more games. Tonight they travel to Downpatrick (kick-off 6.45pm) before hosting them on Saturday at Iveagh Park (kick-off 2pm).

Those games will certainly go a long way to deciding where Rathfriland finish in the Amateur League Division 1A table. They’ll be looking to get back to winning ways, having suffered two defeats on the bounce.

Rathfriland Rangers Reserves this Saturday have no fixture.

Rathfriland Swifts, meanwhile, are away to Lurgan Institute Reserves in a league fixture.

They had a great 4-3 win last Saturday and will be looking to put a good run together before their O’Hara Cup semi final. Kick-off for that one is at 2.15pm.

Rathfriland Colts’ fixture is still to be confirmed.
