Dromore Under 14s produce superb display

Dromore continued to play in the league cup group this Saturday, which was the first time they had played Oxford Sunnyside.

The first goal was scored by the home team with a quick breakaway goal.

Dromore levelled with a quick pass from Nathan to Phil who sent a superb pass through to Karl, who finished bottom left.

The home team again scored from another quick break by their number 9.

Karl then met a great corner by Liam but the resulting header hit the bar. Dromore’s second goal was a nice move, with great passing from Liam to Luke to Phil. whose through ball met Karl’s run into the box and from close range he tucked the ball into the right handed of the goal.

Nathan then got his first goal of his season. Euan took a short corner to Karl who produced a great cross, but Nathan just headed the ball over the bar.

Phil then produced a great cross field pass to Karl, who from a tight angle blasted the ball into the back of the net.

Karl netted again after a great run after picking up the throw in from Jason. Nathan then produced a great throw in on the left Karl headed the ball backwards and Liam was there to poke the ball home.

Sunnyside then got their third goal. Josh then made a terrific world class save from a free kick from just out of the box, to tip the ball over the bar.

Joel was having a great game with a great defence display and Morgan and Phil played brilliantly in midfield.

Dromore continued to score, this time Jason collected the ball in the centre of the goal from Luke’s corner and fired home.

Karl then made a great run for a through ball, and cut out the defenders back pass to the keeper and slotted home.

Nathan then picked up another great throw from Nathan and squared the ball in the box for Luke to score right footed.

Phil was still playing strongly and played in Jason and he shot from wide right to score his second.

The final goal Karl’s double hat-trick, received a great pass from Euan, drove towards the box and finished from outside the box with a swerving shot into the top right hand corner.

The managers congratulated the team who picked up their performance after 20 minutes.

Well done to Phil who was Man of the match.
