Little or nothing was known about the former Carnbane Youth league opposition but Dromore were well prepared both physically and mentally and after sixty minutes of football it was the home side Dromore U13s who claimed all three points with a well deserved 6-2 win.

Dromore set their stall out from the kick off and with a mere 20 seconds on the clock they found themselves 1 nil up after a great ball whipped in from the right by Matthew Magill which the Lisdrum defence failed to clear was coolly slotted home by Adam Jennings.

Two minutes later Dromore should have doubled their lead when good interlink play between Adam Jennings, Karl Teggart and Matthew Magill found Morgan Houston in space but unfortunately he sent his effort wide of the upright.

At the other end when it looked certain the Lisdrum striker would score Matthew Briggs came to the Dromore rescue with a superb tackle to avert the danger.

Dromore then wasted another great chance to increase their lead when a Karl Teggart strike went whizzing agonizing passed the right-hand post. Dromore then paid the price when a long ball over the top found the Lisdrum striker who appeared to be offside fired a blistering shot which was well blocked initially by the goal-keeper Josh Jennings, but unfortunately the ball spun away from him resulting in Lisdrum scoring to make it one all.

Five minutes later Dromore again took the lead when a Lisdrum defender handled the ball in the box leaving the referee pointing to the spot. Up popped Karl Teggart to calmly slot the ball passed the Lisdrum keeper and put the home side back in front.

Dromore appeared to lift their foot off the pedal and allow the visitors back into the game, but again for the second time Lisdrum equalized when their midfield player unleashed a forty-yard drive which dipped at the last second leaving the Dromore keeper no chance. Dromore then made a change up front with Euan Sellwood replacing Shea Cunningham.

With halftime looming Matthew Magill crossed the ball into the Lisdrum box and was met first time by Euan Sellwood, but he failed to hit the target with the ball glancing over the crossbar.

Dromore started the second half on the front foot with Adam Jennings, Philip Johnston and Matthew Magill all putting pressure on the Lisdrum defence.

On thirty-eight minutes a great run from Adam Jennings into the Lisdrum box saw him being upended and as a result the referee again pointed to the spot. Karl Teggart converted the penalty with the ball clipping the inside of the post on the way in to again put Dromore ahead.

Dromore then replaced their front man Karl Teggart with Jack Soye. Dromore were now in control of the game and the killer blow for Lisdrum came a minute later when another superb cross from Matthew Magill into the Lisdrum box, initially misjudged by the Dromore striker Jack Soye seen Adam Jennings step up and make it 4-2.

The back four of Nathan Thompson, Joel Nixon, Matthew Briggs and Jason Weir kept the Lisdrum front-runners at bay when called upon. Adam Jennings who had been a thorn in the Lisdrum defence throughout thought he had scored his hat-trick with ten minutes to go, only to see his shot rebound of the post and into the path of Euan Sellwood who calmly made it 5-2 from six yards out.

Moments later Euan made it 6-2 and his second of the game when the ball again fell kindly for him in front of goal after the ball had rebounded several times off a number of players in the area.
