Town have won just one of their opening five league games, their latest defeat coming at the hands of leaders Moyola Park.

On Saturday, they take on Tobermore United, who have just one point from their first four games.

“If we play to our capabilities and cut out the defensive errors, we can get the win,” said Watson. “It’s a massive opportunity for us to start off a run of good results.

“I’m not overly concerned at the minute. It would be worse if we weren’t playing well and players weren’t putting in the hard work and effort but we have that in abundance.”

Town will welcome back suspended defensive duo Stephen Greene and Michael Ferguson, who will be hoping to shore up the backline that conceded three on Saturday.

“It’ll be good to get our captain Stephen back around the squad,” said Watson. “Michael started the season well too but he’s young and learning from his red card.

“Players need to perform well now to keep their place in the team. We conceded some bad goals last week so we’ll have to change things.”
