Banbridge lad Adam Salley has left Linfield for another Premiership club.

The 18 year-old striker has gone out to newly-promoted Carrick Rangers on loan. He has made 12 appearances for Linfield so far this season, 10 off the bench and has gone in search of a regular starting spot.

Salley could even make his debut for the club at Banbridge Town in the Irish Cup fifth round on Saturday.

Carrick Rangers forward Miguel Chines is in top form and has bagged eight Premiership goals this season but, aside from him, Rangers need another goal-scorer. Now Salley will be looking to take full advantage and make a name for himself at the top level of Northern Irish football.

Carrick are currently second bottom in the Danske Bank Premiership table but, due to difficulties with their pitch at Taylor’s Avenue, have played up to four games less than the rest of the league. They’ll be hoping Salley’s goals can fire them to safety.
