Their opposition at Havelock Park were Killymoon Rangers, who now play in the Ballymena Intermediate League after being relegated from Championship Two.

Despite having a number of players missing from action, the Village started the game brightly and within the first few minutes Stephen Donaghy had an opportunity to put the home side ahead but failed to hit the target.

With 30 minutes of the first half gone Seapatrick played the ball out from the back and after some sharp passing Alan Beck squared from the left for Adam McBurney to rifle the ball into the back of the Killymoon net.

Beck, Donaghy and McBurney all had chances to increase the home sides lead but the first half ended 1-0.

Determined to improve on their first half performance, The Village took to the field again and it wasn’t long before they were on the attack again.

Beck and McBurney were causing the Killymoon defence all sorts of problems and both came close to increasing The Villages lead.

The Killymoon defence were playing a high line and were fortunate on a number of occasions when the referee blew up the home forwards for offside.

Killymoon pressed forward in the dying minutes of the game looking for an equaliser but it was not to be and The Villages name now goes into the draw for the next round.

A good performance from Seapatrick throughout the team and although they won by a single goal they did create several clear cut chances in both halfs of the game.
