Academy round-up
THE weekend’s fixtures saw a mixed bag of results for The Lisburn Distillery Academy sides, Sam Allen and Dickie Evans U16s saw their title challenge stutter after being held to a 0-0 draw by Solway Star but the U15s stayed top of the league with a 5-1 victory over Oxford Sunnyside.
Kyle McCreery helped himself to a hat-trick with Peter Freeland and Daniel Larmour also on target.
The U13s held Shankill Juniors to a 2-2 draw. Ub Otong marked his return to the club with a goal, on fire striker Keaton Hamilton also getting his name on the scoresheet.
The U11s lost 6-1 to high flying Ballymena - the Whites’ goal in this one was an own goal.
In the cup the U17s needed extra-time to see off Carrick Rangers 2-1. In the mini-soccer Calum Ashby and Kenzie Bradley were got well deserved goals against Coiln Valley and against North Belfast Jake Donaghy and Noah Kelly combined to set up Bradley Ingram for an excellant team goal.
