A win and a loss for Swifts U10s in recent games

RATHFRILAND started the game very well and had plenty of chances to open the scoring in the first few minutes.

The boys continued to press and were rewarded with the opening goal through Eli Baxter. Camlough did have a few chances as well and would have equalised only for some great stops by the Rathfriland goalkeeper.

Rathfriland scored another again through Eli Baxter and with a few minutes to go Camlough pulled one back.

Rathfriland faced a very good Barcroft side and battled well through-out the match. However they were soon 1-0 down with a long range effort which went into the top corner.

Rathfriland had some good passages of play with the midfield duo of Adam Bronte and Thomas Ingram working well both defensively and going forward.

However it was not Rathfriland’s night as Barcroft through another long range strike were soon 2-0 up.

The game finished 3-0 to Barcroft after a late goal which was harsh considering the solid performance put in by the Rathfriland team.
