MEET THE DOWN STARS
Friday night next, 11 May, is a chance to see Down manager James McCartan put his team through their paces, and an opportunity to meet the players, get their autographs or have your picture taken with them. The venue is the Abbey CBS in Newry, where the proceedings will commence at 7.00pm and will end around 8.30.
Similar events are happening right across Ireland, and all matches previously scheduled for 11 May have been postponed to allow for this evening in the build-up to the Championship.
Wednesday 9 May, 7:00pm, the Reserves play Warrenpoint at home, Cottage Park, while round six of the All County U16 league sees Clann na Derg away to Loughinisland on Thursday evening.
Clann na Derg U12s travel to Tullylish for an 11:00am throw-in on Sunday 13 May, and U14 host Glenn at Cottage Park on Monday evening.
The Minors take on St John Bosco at Bosco on 15 May at 7:30pm.
The club is organising a sponsor walk at the Scarva Tow Path, which has been rescheduled for Sunday 27 May at 3pm. The walk is to raise funds to improve underage coaching equipment and update underage playing kits.
