BIG INTEREST IN TOWN JOB

ANYONE interested in applying for the vacant Banbridge Town manager's job has until May 23 to do so.

That's the closing date for applications as Town seek to find a successor to Michael Lamont who departed from the club last week.

Town chairman Andrew Cully is remaining tight-lipped over the identities of interested parties but it's understood there have been a number of responses from prospective managers.

Ex-Glenavon boss Colin Malone, former Ards manager Shane Reddish, Dunmuaary manager Davy Johnston and Banbridge man Ryan Watson have all been linked with the position.

"We need to get the right man, we can;t afford any quick fixes," said Cully.

"This is about moving the club forward and we need someone capable of doing this."
