Banbridge Hockey Club have tonight (Tuesday) secured their fourth trophy of the season.

They made sure of the Ulster Premier League title with a 3-0 victory over Instonians.

The stubborn visitors to Havelock Park did hold off their opponents until well into the second half but eventually Bann’s pressure told as a Eugene Magee double and another from Stephen Dowds secured the victory.

That means Bann will want to win Thursday’s game against Lisnagarvey at Havelock Park to maintain their 100% league record.

Banbridge’s quest for the clean sweep is still on track too. The Anderson Cup, Kirk Cup, Irish Senior Cup and Ulster Premier League trophies are all safely stowed away at Havelock Park. Next weekend they go to Three Rock Rovers to try and add the IHL.
