CONGRATULATIONS to Liatroim Fontenoys' mountain marathon men, Jerome McCrickard, Jarlath Austin, Brendan Quail, Aidan Brown and Brian Morgan who completed the 26 miles across the Mournes and came in second place overall.
Well done boys! A special thanks to all those who sponsored them. There are a few sore feet but they did not require the helicopter to air lift them to the finish.

troim pitch for 6pm).

* U14 camogie - Tuesday 28th April - Liatroim v Longstone at 7pm (players to be at Liatroim pitch for 6.30pm).

* Senior camogie – Wednesday 29th April - Slaughtneil v Liatroim.

* Senior hurling - Warrenpoint 1-4 Liatroim 6-20. This was another excellent performance against a disappointing Warrenpoint team.

Liatroim were on top in all sectors defending strongly and scoring at will. Top class free-taking from Liam Morgan and John Brown were also a feature of the game. Training Monday 6.30pm.

* Minor Hurling - Liatroim 4-8 Kilclief 2-2. An improved performance saw Liatroim prevail over a useful Kilclief team.

Robert Dixon was steady at full-back and got his name on the score sheet when moved out the field. He was ably assisted by Steven Brown and David McMullan.

Others to impress were Neil Lynch, Sean Brown, Mark Cunningham and Ryan McAleenan. Unfortunately indiscipline from a few players let the team down.

A better attitude along with attention to the simpler skills is needed. Training - Monday 6.30pm

A Townland 7’s football competition will involve all current adult players, male and female, more details next week.
