Lower Iveagh holds service

Lower Iveagh Royal Arch Purple District Chapter No1 recently held its annual district service in Banbridge Road Presbyterian Church.

The District was accompanied by County Grand Master Bro Sam Kerr and visiting brethren as well as Star of Dromore WLOL 66.

Aughnaskeagh Sliver Band led the parade from Dromore Orange Hall.

The Rev Gary Trueman conducted the service while Mrs Elizabeth McDonbald and the church choir led praise.

Mrs Gail Redmond from Via Wings House of Hope spoke at the service, where an offering of £450 was taken up in aid of the Dromore charity.

WDM, Bro David Hunter, thanked CGM, Bro Sam Kerr and other county officers as well as visiting district officers and Mr Trueman, the latter for his “very challenging” address on the man who built his house upon the rock.

He went on to thank the church session and committee, for accommodating the service, also Aughnaskeagh Silver Band, the PSNI, for traffic control and Bros Cunningham and Roulston for organisingof the service.

He invited Mrs Redmond to come forward and receive a cheque for £450 from Bro Colin Cunningham DDM.
