Electrical fault causes alert at school
Pupils at Banbridge Academy were moved into the canteen and gym area of the school this morning (Thursday), after a number of smoke alarms were activated.
A spokesperson for the Fire Service said they received a call at 11am and when they arrived they discovered the smoke was caused by an electrical fault which activated the alarms.
After the school was made safe the children returned back to class by around 12noon.
