Mr. Spiers thanked the children for the contributions they had made to the school throughout the seven years of their attendance. He wished them well as they moved on to post-primary school, encouraging them to reach their full potential.

A presentation was made to Mrs. Inez Thompson, to mark her early retirement, by Mrs. Lynette Kernaghan and Saffron Kernaghan on behalf of the parents and children. Mrs. Minnis made a presentation to Mrs. Thompson on behalf of the school staff. Mr. Spiers thanked Mrs. Thompson for her dedicated service since the school opened in 2000 in her role as learning support teacher and, formerly, principal release teacher.

He continued that many children had gained from Mrs. Thompson’s expertise and the school would miss her thoroughly professional approach and her active part in school life.
